The purpose of fhe present papaer is to examine fundamentally the separation and recovery of gyp sum by means of the flotation process from the so-called“Scale”obtained in the salt-making plants.
gypsum by flotation: 1. Pure celestite mineral was floated with oleate at. pH 8.5-9 in a Hallimond tube, while gypsum. flotation recovery was only 10% at these pH. values. 2.
Especially, from the views of separation and recovery of gypsum, the following treatment would be recommended which the concentrates risen by flotation were well washed by water, because of the greater solubility of such coexisting salts as NaCl, MgSO 4, MgCl 2 and so on than that of gypsum
2015-6-1 · Six flotation tests were conducted using the copper–gold ore and its mixtures with quartz, clay minerals and gypsum. Fig. 1 shows the mass recovery as a function of water recovery from these tests. As can be seen, flotation of the ore or baseline resulted in a 5% mass recovery and 31% water recovery at the completion of flotation.
Borogypsum includes a well-floated component -gypsum [1, 4]. The processing plant of Dalnegorsky mining-pro- For flotation separation of silicon concentrate from borogypsum, we proposed perlastan...
Micro-flotation tests were conducted to study the effect of gypsum solution on the flotation performance of mixed −74 μm molybdenite and −10 μm kaolinite mineral. The results showed that the ...
The interaction of two clay minerals, kaolinite and bentonite with gypsum and its effects on the flotation of a copper–gold ore was investigated in this study. It was found that bentonite increased the viscosity more than kaolinite when mixed with the copper–gold ore at low shear rates.
2019-6-24 · In this study, effect of calcium and gypsum on scheelite and fluorite was investigated using sodium oleate as collector. Micro-flotation and contact angle results showed that the adsorption of calcium could inhibit the hydrophobicity of scheelite and
2013-6-1 · It has been long speculated that gypsum might nucleate on mineral surface during the mineral flotation in the gypsum supersaturated process water, which could change the surface properties of the minerals. In this part of study, silica and sphalerite mineral samples were conditioned with gypsum supersaturated solutions.
2013-8-1 · Gypsum supersaturated process water has been shown to have an adverse effect on the flotation of sphalerite minerals. This study probes the mechanism of such effect by determining the uptake of copper and xanthate on sphalerite in gypsum supersaturated water using zeta potential distribution measurement, atomic absorption spectroscopy, UV–visible spectroscopy and quartz

The study was carried out to examine the most suitable conditions for separation and recovery fo gypsum by means of the flotation process from gypsum scale discharged from the vacuum evaporator in ...
2013-7-18 · Flotation behaviour of pure minerals, celestite and gypsum was investigated using oleate and sulphonate as collectors in a Hallimond tube. The zeta potential values of both minerals were measured with respect to pH in an attempt to explain the flotation mechanism of the collectors.
2019-6-24 · In this study, effect of calcium and gypsum on scheelite and fluorite was investigated using sodium oleate as collector. Micro-flotation and contact angle results showed that the adsorption of calcium could inhibit the hydrophobicity of scheelite and
2018-6-1 · This study showed that FGD gypsum could be considered as an attractive material for silicate removal from scheelite flotation wastewater. FGD gypsum can release sufficient calcium ions for the formation of calcium silicate. Initial pH is a key factor on silicate removal by influencing calcium release and precipitation reaction.
Mineral flotation in water study. A high concentration of calcium and gypsum in water can affect the water quality and limit mineral flotation. In Minerals Engineering (Vol. 46–47, 2013), chemical and materials engineers published a study of the impact of calcium and gypsum on the flotation

The addition of gypsum to the ore–bentonite mixture inhibited the formation of interconnected network structures. This led to lower viscosity values with flotation behaviour similar to that of mixtures with kaolinite. In this case, there was an improvement in recovery, but
2017-8-10 · Lucay et al. [16] studied the effect of gypsum on the floatability of molybdenite in saline solutions using a modified Hallimond tube. In their study, the flotation was conducted at a fixed concentration of Ca2+ (0.05 mol/L) by varying the concentration of SO 4 2. Under these conditions, a concentration of 0.14 mol/L SO4 2 was required to form ...
A process for beneficiating phosphate rock containing siliceous and carbonaceous gangue materials and gypsum which comprises the steps of subjecting comminuted phosphate rock to a first stage anionic flotation step to float phosphates from siliceous material, conditioning the float product in an aqueous solution containing added phosphate ion and sulphate ion, subjecting the conditioned float ...
